BACCICHETTO VITTORINO: WINES OF THE FRIULIAN RIVIERA
Sustainable
and clean
FROM SUN AND MAIZE, ALL THE ENERGY WE NEED
The estate runs entirely on renewable energy. All thermal and electrical needs are fully covered by a large photovoltaic system (producing 145 kW) and, above all, by a biogas plant fueled by maize, inaugurated in March 2012. The efficiency of the biogas system allows Baccichetto Vittorino to feed surplus energy back into the grid, contributing to a clean, self-sustaining energy loop free from dependence on imported sources.

BIOGAS: CLEAN ENERGY AND THE CIRCULAR ECONOMY
Biogas is a mixture of gases produced through the anaerobic fermentation of biomass, resulting in a clean, fully CO₂-neutral form of energy. One of its key advantages is how naturally it fits into an agricultural context, efficiently recycling the farm’s own products and by-products. To this end, Baccichetto Vittorino has dedicated a substantial portion of its land to maize cultivation, which serves as the primary feedstock in the clean energy production process.
